We are very fortunate to have a very talented group of 8^th graders who enjoy helping younger students on their instrument.  Our Peer Mentoring Program provides an avenue for your child to get extra help with what we are working on in class, concert music, solos or and to answer questions that we might not get to in class.  This program has proven to be extremely beneficial to students who are enrolled as they start to excel faster and sometimes surpass the pace of the entire class.  Students may stay after school to work with an 8^th grader and it is free of charge.  Students may sign-up in the band room for the day of their choosing and will need to be picked-up immediately following their session with the mentor.  Mentoring is available to all 6^th grade band students and 7^th grade black day band students.  Students will constantly be supervised and monitored for progress.
