WINTER CONCERT CHANGE

Due to the potential duration of the winter concert, we will be splitting into two separate performances. The 6th grade, 7th grade black, and jazz ensemble will be performing at 6:30 in the gym. 7th grade red and 8th grade will start at 8pm. Thanks for your help and have a great holiday break! ~ Dots

Winter Concert December 20th

The annual winter concert will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 7pm in the CMS Gymnasium. All grade level concert bands will be performing. Students need to be in their seats by 6:30pm dressed in concert attire.

National MS Conference Schedule

The schedule for our performances at the National Middle School Association Conference are posted under the “Trip Info” menu. Additionally, we will have a rehearsal on November 8th from 9-1. That information is also in that document.

Fall Concert October 24th

The 6th Grade Band and CMS Jazz Ensemble will be presenting a fall concert on Monday, October 24th in the cafeteria. Students are to report to school at 6:30 and the concert will begin at 7PM. Students should be dressed in appropriate concert attire. See the band handbook for further information.

Jazz Ensemble Invited to Perform at National Jazz Conference!

Symphonic Band Invited to the National Concert Band Festival!

Congratulations to the Conner Middle School Symphonic Band for being one of three invited middle school bands from the United States to perform at the 2012 Music for All National Concert Band Festival sponsored by Yamaha! Music for All is the nation’s largest and most influential music education organization. They combine regional and national music-event programming with awareness campaigns and advocacy aimed at expanding access to music in schools and communities. Congratulations Jazz Ensembles!

Congratulations to both CMS Jazz Ensembles for exceptional performances at the 2011 Northern Kentucky Jazz Festival. In Jazz Band 2, outstanding soloists were Alex K. and Matt T. Jazz Band 1 was selected as the best overall middle school group and was invited to perform on the evening concert. Outstanding soloists were Joey S. and Mike T. Mike T also was a scholarship to attend the Northern Kentucky Jazz Camp at NKU this summer. We are very proud of our students!
